Treat wrinkles or an uneven skin tone across your face

As you age, your skin’s ability to produce collagen diminishes. This leads to wrinkles and uneven skin tone, which become more pronounced with time.

As you age, your skin’s ability to produce collagen diminishes. This leads to wrinkles and uneven skin tone, which become more pronounced with time. There is a limit to a chemical peel’s ability to reduce deep lines. However, chemical peels promote collagen production, which hydrates the bright, even new skin revealed by the peel. The end result is rejuvenated, youthful-looking skin.

Chemical peels clear oily skin and open blocked pores

A customised chemical peel for congested, oily skin and acne-prone skin clears the pollutants from the surface of your skin.

A customised chemical peel for congested, oily skin and acne-prone skin clears the pollutants from the surface of your skin. Chemical peels can also reduce pore size by removing the stratum corneum (top layer of the skin) via a gentle and safe exfoliation process. Pores become congested when regularly exposed to toxins and minute debris without being adequately cared for. If the congestion persists, your skin becomes oily, pimples and blackheads form, and your skin becomes congested and compromised. Deep congestion can lead to rashes and scarring in time.

Chemical peels moisturise dry and lipid dry skin (dehydrated skin)

Chemical peels benefit sun-damaged and dry skin by revealing layers of fresh new skin. The peels encourage the body to increase collagen production, plumping the newly exposed skin.

Chemical peels benefit sun-damaged and dry skin by revealing layers of fresh new skin. The peels encourage the body to increase collagen production, plumping the newly exposed skin. Dry skin can be caused by any number of genetic and environmental factors, from ageing to sun exposure. These factors inhibit the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid within the skin. Without these, the skin dries and loses elasticity, which can lead to premature aging.

Our renowned dermal clinicians

Our clinicians have earned countless recognitions in their relentless pursuit of more effective skincare treatments. Trained in leading technologies and techniques,by an experienced team of vast leading clinicians in Melbourne, they’ve earned the trust of countless clients through their professionalism and personal care.

How chemical peels work

The chemical peel clears the top layers of your skin, removing dead skin cells, evening your skin tone and skin texture, and softening sun damage and mature wrinkles. Skin peels also encourage your skin to boost collagen production; this protein forms the connective tissue between muscles and skin and keeps them hydrated and elastic. Collagen production gradually ceases as you age, but a deep peel can boost production to rejuvenate your skin.

Your chemical peel appointment will last approximately an hour. This accounts for a pre-treatment discussion to revisit your goals and intentions and a post-treatment monitoring period. Please arrive at your appointment with a clean face. We’ll then begin with a light skin cleanse to remove any sweat. We’ll apply the chemical peel, which we will leave on your skin for the required time.

How It Works

Who can get a chemical peel, and why?

We offer our chemical peel services to men and women. Chemical peels work effectively on skin of all ages, ethnicities and conditions.

You may seek our services to treat hyperpigmentation issues like blotchy skin, freckles and Lentigos. Since chemical peels can also improve oily skin, blocked pores and acne scars, you’ll find them particularly beneficial prior to special events and social commitments. You should allow at least 1-2 weeks prior to having a treatment. This will be discussed and coordinated with our clinical team.

Who It’s For

  • Avoid hair removal treatments for two weeks prior
  • Avoid laser treatments for two weeks prior

We'll give you more comprehensive information during your initial consultation.

Choose the right chemical peel for flawless results

Come in for a consultation with our Melbourne clinical team of experts. With a clear understanding of your skin issues, we’ll recommend the safest and most suitable treatment plan for your need and skin type to to achieve your goals.

Our range of chemical peels

Our clinicians will recommend the right chemical peel solution and treatment schedule based on your skin's unique characteristics.

Superficial skin peels

Superficial peels are the mildest, least intrusive chemical peels. We perform these treatments using natural alpha hydroxy acids, such as glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acid. Superficial chemical peels brighten the skin and clear surface imperfections and minor blemishes. You will not require any downtime after treatment.

Mesoestetic & Dermaceutic chemical peels

Mesoestetic and Dermaceutic are our preferred brands of chemical peels. They are particularly well suited for exfoliating dry and textured skin, and for clearing acne-scarred and oily skin.

TCA deep peel

TCA stands for Trichloroacetic Acid. It is a deep chemical peel that exfoliates the skin at a dermal level. Depending on the strength of the solution, you can use a TCA peel to treat sun damage, acne scarring, pigmentation, wrinkles, and enlarged pores.

Cosmelan treatment

Cosmelan is a consumer-grade peel solution that is effective for treating melasma and hyperpigmentation and we can use it on a wide variety of skin tones.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I avoid receiving a chemical peel treatment?

You should avoid seeking this treatment if you have an active infection, injury, or inflammation around the treatment area. Clients should also avoid using Retinol within one week of receiving the treatment.

You should avoid receiving a TCA peel or Cosmelan treatment if you are pregnant or expect high sun exposure within six months post-treatment.

Is a chemical peel painful?

Our clients say that our superficial chemical peels do not hurt. All they feel is a slight tingling and a gentle warmth. They do not report any pain in the days following, either.

Stronger chemical peels do result in stronger sensations. However, most peels are well tolerated and have little to no issues during or post treatment. Good clear education during your consult with good management of your expectations are the key factors for good results and reassurance of a safe outcome.

How long will it take for my chemical peel to heal?

Your healing time depends on the type of peel you receive.

A superficial skin peel may result in very minimal to no flaking skin; you'll just experience an initial dryness and must diligently apply the recovery moisturiser.

With medium to deeper peels, your skin may experience a slight exfoliating (peeling) effect and flake for up to 10 days post-treatment. However every individual experience is different.

When is the best time to get a superficial skin peel before an event?

We recommend getting a superficial skin peel at least 1-2 weeks prior to a big and important event. Your skin will be its brightest the next day. Superficial enzymes peels can be performed safely prior to your big day 2-3 days before.

How do I know which chemical peel is right for my skin?

The best way to know which chemical skin is best for your skin is to drop in and visit us for a consultation. Our skin care experts will assess your age and skin type, and advise you on the best course of action for your requirements.

How many chemical peels do I need?

That depends on the effect you desire. Superficial chemical peels are safe to and can be performed every 2-4 weeks. Deeper peels may be spaced two months apart.

During our consultation, we can discuss your goals and create a bespoke chemical peel treatment plan for you.

How much does a chemical peel cost?

The cost of a chemical peel depends on the type of peel you need and the desired treatment frequency. Because of this, we cannot give you an estimate without a consultation.

Can you get a chemical peel while breastfeeding?

Chemical peels are not safe for breastfeeding or pregnant women. We will only offer superficials to pregnant women. Please discuss this with one of our experienced clinical team members.
